Favorite films of 2011 | Melancholia

Hold my hand. Close your eyes.

This movie had me shaking, crying and breathless in my seat. I had to see it twice, on the big screen. It was that good. 

No. NO. FUCK this movie. This movie gave me nightmares for a week. It made me feel so unsettled, for a longer period of time than any other movie I’ve ever seen. I HATED the way it made me feel. I can’t do end-of-the-world films. I suppose the fact that it made me feel so strongly is the mark of it being a well-done film, but I will never, EVER watch it again.
